Cbec circular no. 9/2010 requires the following sr. no. 1 and 2 to be complied by a cha. .................................

1. Authorization from Importer in cha favour to clear cargo on their behalf. by a person authorised by way of board resolution of limited company/ proprietor/partner. ........................................................

2. Self attested copy of
i)Import Export code number allotted by DGFT
ii)electricity bill /rent receipt or shop establishment certificate of the premises mentioned in the ie code
iii)article of association/partnership deed.
iv)pan copy of the authority holder and of the co.

2a. Bankers certificate that customer is holding account with his branch or remittance proof and

2aa. Vat/sales regn. certificate plus vat/it return filing proof with balance sheet of the pvt. ltd co.

2b. Intimation to Deputy Commissioner, SIIB (Export) or (Import) informing of addition of the name of the new cha prior to filing of any document by the new cha.--P.No.91/14-9-2010 jnch

3. Papers required for imports are as under.

1)Copies of Invoice.

2) package wise Packing List with weight for furniture items.

3) Bill of Lading.

4) Certificate of Origin.

5) mrp declaration.

6)Purchase order

7)/indent .

8) order confirmation.

9) Letter of Credit (if any)

10) GATT declaration duly stamped and signed

11) N Form in triplicate duly stamped and signed if import is by Mumbai port or Airport.

12) Undertaking on importers letter head duly stamped and signed if import. (original duly discharged and bank attested Bill of Lading and Invoice are required.)

Papers required for export are as under

1)Invoice.

2)Packing List.

3)Test Certificate

4)LC/ Purchase Order.

5)SDF Form duly sign.

6) General Remittance waiver letter from exporters bankers if no remittance is to be received from abroad due to shipment being sample or for re-import etc....Contents of letter will be the ie cod no. of the exporter and his pan no. with the bank a/c.no. mentioned in the letter giving reasons why remittance is not going to arrive.

4.Test / analysis certificate / PRODUCT data sheet (PDS) for Chemicals and allied products.

Literature for Polymers./ Metal. Mill Test certificate for steel in primary form. Catalogue / write up for plant and machinery and spares.

FSSAI regn as importer not retailer or wholesaler.

5. For clearance of second hand plant and machinery - Chartered Engineer certificate.
